Lady A postpones 2022 tour and will not be performing at Tampa Pig Jig this year.

Lady A announced on Thursday (8/4) that they are postponing their 2022 “Request Line Tour” which also includes their performance at this year’s Tampa Pig Jig.

The tour was slated to start Saturday, August 13th at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee with back-to-back shows, and run through late October finishing up in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The trio announced the news on their social media channels around 11a on Thursday (8/4), just 10 days before the tour was to start.

“We are a band, but more importantly…we’re family. We’re proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety. So, right now in order to be the healthiest, strongest and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together. It’s early on this road, but we are determined to do what will best set us up for many more years together. We’re grateful for your patience.⁣⁣”

This tour had a phone number fans could call to request songs for the tour, hence the name, “Request Line Tour”.

Back in April Dave Haywood said in a press release, “We’ve been touring for over fifteen years and have played some of the biggest venues in the world, but there’s something truly special about being close to your audience and having the flexibility to include the fans in how the show goes.”

Tampa Pig Jig reposted the trio’s social post adding, “We’re sending love to Charles and the Lady A family and hope to see them in Tampa again in the near future!”
