In addition to a big raise, give this guy a cape! A Florida Chick-fil-A employee becomes a hero when he stops a carjacking.
William Branch picked the wrong place to commit a crime. Branch attempted to take a woman’s keys and steal her car in the parking lot of a Chick-fil-A near Fort Walton Beach. The victim was removing her baby from the car when Branch, with a stick in his hand, demanded the victim’s keys. Branch grabs the keys, gets in the car and the victim begins to scream. Her cries caught the attention of a nearby Chick-fil-A employee. He jumped into action and went to subdue Branch. The Chick-fil-A employee got punched in the face but eventually wrestled Branch to the ground. Here’s the video of this Florida Chick-fil-A hero in action:
The unnamed Chick-fil-A wasn’t seriously injured in the scuffle. Branch was arrested by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and charged with burglary, battery and armed carjacking. We think the brave Chick-fil-A employee should be the “Employee of the Year.” [SOURCE Click Orlando]
