The Largest Retro Video Game Store In The Country Is In Tampa Bay
Get ready to have your mind blown because the largest retro video game store in the country is right here in Tampa Bay!
We love our throwbacks, nostalgia, and retro stuff so Unlimited Video Games in Pinellas Park is right up our alley! Over 30,000 video game titles, new and used consoles, collectables, and arcade games await. It’s all about the joy and love of gaming. We like the fact that you don’t have to line up your quarters on the arcade games to save your spot! It’ll cost you only $5 per person to play on a vintage game or console. Kind of looking forward to playing “Home Run” on the Atari 2600 again!
Unlimited Video Games also has a huge outdoor space with a stage and hosts tournaments, events, festivals, and private parties.
Scratch that retro gaming itch! Unlimited Video Games is at 6901 US Hwy 19 N in Pinellas Park. [SOURCE I Love The Burg]
RIP iPod: A Gallery Tribute to Apple's Game-Changing Device
In “end of an era” news: Apple has announced it is discontinuing the iPod touch, thus, ending production on its legendary, game-changing iPod device.
In a statement, Apple senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Greg Joswiak said, “Music has always been part of our core at Apple, and bringing it to hundreds of millions of users in the way iPod did impacted more than just the music industry — it also redefined how music is discovered, listened to, and shared. Today, the spirit of iPod lives on. We’ve integrated an incredible music experience across all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV. And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound quality with support for spatial audio — there’s no better way to enjoy, discover, and experience music.”
Apple noted, “Customers can purchase iPod touch through Apple.com, Apple Store locations, and Apple Authorized Resellers while supplies last.
In honor of this legendary device whose original 2001 model boasted being able to hold up to 1,000 songs (cute, right?), here is a gallery of images in tribute to the iPod and its many evolutions in the past two decades.
