Accidents can even happen at toll plazas. Here’s what happened when a cement truck hit a Florida SunPass tollbooth in Collier County.
According to FHP, an empty cement truck was being transported by a semi-truck. The truck driver fell asleep behind the wheel. The driver awoke before the toll plaza but ended up jack-knifing the trailer with the cement truck and hit the tollbooth.
The tollbooth was extensively damaged and the tollbooth operator along with two occupants in a vehicle next to the booth were taken to the hospital. Here’s footage of the collision’s aftermath from FHP:

The mess caused by this accident closed several toll lanes for hours while the scene was investigated and cleaned up. No word if the truck driver will face any charges. [SOURCE News Channel 8]
