Florida Man Jumps Into Tampa Bay To Avoid Arrest
How do you get away from the police? Well, if you’re this guy, you jump into the nearest body of water. That’s right, a Florida Man jumped into Tampa Bay to avoid arrest!
The Florida Man in this story, Dewayne Dean, stole a woman’s wallet in a hotel parking lot on Westshore Blvd and made his getaway toward Cypress Point Beach. Tampa Police quickly caught up to Dean. Instead of giving up to the police, Dean jumped into Tampa Bay and swam away. Dean only made it about 200 feet before he gave up to TPD’s helicopter.
Dean now faces charges of robbery by sudden snatching and resisting officers without violence plus a slew of outstanding warrants. [SOURCE News Channel 8]
