Florida Couple Picks Nontraditional Venue For Their Wedding
Talk about a unique location. This Florida couple decided to pick a very nontraditional venue for their wedding.
The Sunshine State has a myriad of locations for any couple looking to get married. Our beautiful beaches and classic hotels come to mind. However, Megan Michelle Gabelman and Jean-Phillipe Charles went the non-conventional route. You see, the location they chose for their Florida wedding played a significant role in their relationship.
Jean-Phillipe met Megan six years ago after he applied to sublease her apartment. When they went on dates, they often took the Brightline to West Palm Beach. “The Brightline kind of started as, like, a cute joke between us, like, ‘Oh, it would be so great if we could just get married on the Brightline,‘” Megan recalled. “But then, yeah, we took it seriously, and I was like, ‘No, that would make me really, really happy.‘”
Yup, you guessed it, Jean-Phillipe and Megan got married on a Brightline train. The couple, along with their guests, boarded the West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale train and exchanged vows. In case you were wondering, their reception was held at a more conventional venue in Hollywood. These are the ties that bind, and in Jean-Phillipe and Megan’s case, they are railroad ties.
