Gee, another research study showing that we live in one of the best places in the country! This Tampa Bay city is the most dog-friendly city in America!
Smart Asset did a study where they compiled specific data from 100 cities to find out which was the friendliest for our four-legged friends. They used seven metrics to come up with the final results. Those metrics are:
- Dog parks per 100,000 residents
- Dog-friendly restaurants
- Dog-friendly shopping centers
- Average home sales price
- Walk score
- Average annual days of precipitation
- Concentration of pet stores and veterinary offices
After doing all the math, Smart Asset came up with the final results. Here are the Top 10:
- St. Petersburg, FL
- Tucson, AZ
- Tampa, FL
- Portland, OR
- Madison, WI
- Las Vegas, NV
- Arlington, VA
- Minneapolis, MN
- San Francisco, CA
- St. Louis, MO
Not to toot the Tampa Bay horn too much, but St. Pete coming in at #1 and Tampa at #3 is pretty darn awesome!!
