BREAKING: University of Florida Has Stopped All Football Activities Because Of COVID-19
University of Florida announced today they will being putting a pause on all football activities because of the rise of Coronavirus numbers within the team.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that there were 5 new reported cases among players. This might go further than just UF, because the Gators even played Texas A&M and LSU. UF’s Athletics Director Scott Stricklin, said they have spoken with the other teams and the coach is communicating with the UF players and their families. It must be super tough to deal with college sports especially since its still dorm living and a lot of these players are still very young. As a parent who has a kid in sports this hits home because you want what is best for your child with still helping their future and health. Well, I hope those affected recover quickly and they can safely return to the field soon.
