Weekdays 3p-7p

During Wednesday’s Orange County task force meeting, Walt Disney World and SeaWorld laid out their reopening plans but now they have received approval from the county AND Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis.

SeaWorld Orlando will reopen to the public on June 11 and will have an employee appreciation night on June 10. They will be welcoming guests with restrictions:

  • Employees and Guests will be required to wear a face mask
  • Employees and Guests will have their temperature taken before entering the park

SeaWorld owned park, Busch Gardens Tampa, have given their plan to Hillborough County and has been approved. Now they are waiting on the Florida Governor… We do not have a projected opening date, yet.

Disney World will begin a phased reopening of its theme parks on July 11. First, they will reopen Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Then, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios would reopen July 15.

Here is what guidelines they will implement:

  • Guests will be required to wear a face mask
  • Reduced capacity of parks, restaurants, retail, attractions, buses, monorails and other high-traffic areas
  • Suspending parades, fireworks and other events that draw crowds
  • Temperature checks for all at main entrances to all parks
  • Enhancing mobile ordering at food and beverage areas
  • Suspending high-touch areas like character meet and greets and playgrounds

That is not all Disney announced, they also have stopped people from booking new resort reservations, dining reservations and you cannot purchase tickets. They have halted because Disney is making way for a new reservation system to limit capacity. They are going to prioritize those families who have existing reservations and tickets, including annual passes.
