A Tampa 3rd grader went above and beyond and took his own birthday money to help pay it forward.
Teachers really are some of the hardest working people and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for our children. This little guy, Parker Williams, presented a special gift to his teacher Mrs. Chambers from Gorrie Elementary in Tampa, he presented her with a note and attached $15 in hopes it can be a small “pay raise” for all she has done for him and his fellow classmates.
The note read:
“DEAR MRS. CHAMBERS, I DON’T THINK THAT TEACHERS GET PAID ENOUGH FOR WHAT THEY DO, SO, WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS GIFT?”
This kid really knows how to tug at the heart strings. He gave his teacher the note and this is what Mrs. Chambers wrote back in response:
“I CAN’T ACCEPT THIS, BUT APPRECIATE THE GESTURE PARKER, STUDENTS LIKE YOU ARE THE REASON I TEACH.”
Great gesture Parker!
