Florida Man: Three Strikes You’re Out, Failed Attempted Robberies
A 69-year-old Port Richey man was arrested after he failed in back-to-back attempts to rob businesses.
So this is strange to go after three businesses one right after the other.
This is what Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies said happened:
At about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the man tried sticking up three business along State Road 52 in Hudson.
First, he steered a black Volkswagon Jetta through the drive-thru of Regions Bank and told the teller to give him $100. Deputies said he told the teller he had a gun in his pocket. The teller walked away from the window and Adam left.
Then, he went to a Sunoco gas station down the road. Deputies said, He repeated his line there but the cashier put him in a chokehold and threw him onto the pavement outside the store.
You thought he was done, nope. The Florida man walked inside Hudson Alterations and Dry Cleaning and repeated the line once again to the cashier there. She told him she had no money to give him, deputies said, and he told her to open the register. The woman gave the man several $20 and $10 bills then left the store.
He was arrested after deputies were tipped off about a vehicle outside the man’s house. Just read what he had to say: “I robbed the Chinese woman, but I’m gonna give her the $70 back,”
He told the deputies he lied about having a gun. According to Tampa Bay Times.
