Tampa Ranks High When It Comes To Being The Best City For “Homebodies”
If working, living, and playing from home gives you great pleasure and enjoyment, then you are a homebody. The furniture company Joybird did a study and Tampa ranks high on the list when it comes to being the best city for homebodies.
Using metrics based on safety, internet speed, remote work job openings, access to food delivery, and more, Joybird came up with 11 categories. When all the number crunching was done, they came up with the Top 50 cities in the U.S. that are homebody friendly. So where did Tampa rank? Check out the Top 10:
- Raleigh, NC
- Tampa, FL
- Nashville, TN
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Orlando, FL
- Hartford, CT
- St. Louis, MO
- Dallas, TX
- Phoenix, AZ
- Austin, TX
Tampa coming in second place! Here’s what Joybird said were the reasons for Tampa’s strong ranking:
“Like Raleigh, Tampa is better than average in eight of the 11 categories, but it truly excelled in several of those eight. For starters, Tampa has almost twice as many homes with access to a pool than average, which does make sense for a major Florida city, but it also cuts the average crime rate in half, has houses that are about 33% bigger than average, and has close to 70% more food-delivering restaurants than average.“
Other Florida cities in the Top 50 were Orlando #5, Jacksonville #37, and Miami at #40. You can check out the entire survey here.
Maybe the city of Tampa should use their #2 ranking in this survey to welcome all homebodies!
