Tampa Jesuit Grad Going For Big Bucks Tonight On Jeopardy
He is a 2019 graduate of Tampa‘s Jesuit High School and is on tonight’s episode of the Jeopardy! National College Championship.
Who is Sebastian Torres?
Correct!
That’s right, Tampa’s own Sebastian Torres is in the quarterfinals of the long-running competition among college undergrads. Sebastian, who is a junior at Yale University, was one of 36 college students selected to be in this year’s competition. The winner will receive $250,000 and the cool title of Jeopardy! National College Champion. Second place gets $100,000, and third place leaves with $50,000.
The Tampa resident is on tonight’s Jeopardy quarterfinal round. There will be only one winner per quarterfinal game. The 12 winners that advance will move on to the semifinals. Tonight’s episode, hosted by Mayim Bialik, airs on ABC 28 at 8:00pm and also streams on Hulu.
We’re hoping Sebastian makes Tampa proud, wins big, and claims the title of Jeopardy! National College Champion!
