How To Keep Your Pets Safe During New Year’s Eve Fireworks
Tonight is one of few nights throughout the year where fireworks are getting set off all over the nation and world.
If you are a pet owner, like myself, it can be a tough to get them to stay calm. Almost impossible… The reason pets go nuts is because they hear at a much higher decibel than you and I.
If you plan on heading out and leaving your pets at home, make sure they are indoors and safe, or on a secure leash. Now, if you are going to be celebrating from home, try to keep them in the same room as you with the TV or music turned up so that can distract them.
One last thing, if your pet has a microchip make sure it is updated with your contact information. I just looked up my dog’s microchip and it had not been updated. That is not good…
Hope you have a great night, I’ll see ya next year.
