Sword-Wielding Florida Man Breaks Into Wendy’s Restaurant
This story is a cut above the rest. A sword-wielding Florida Man decided to break into a Wendy’s restaurant in North Port and help himself to a meal.
Our Florida Man, Phillip Tran, broke into the Wendy’s on Tamiami Trail after the restaurant had closed. Tran spent almost an hour inside helping himself to food and discharging the kitchen fire extinguisher. While he did all this, he was carrying a full-sized sword!
When employees arrived to open the store later that morning, they discovered the mess that Tran left behind including a broken drive-thru window.
North Port police caught Tran later that evening while responding to a separate incident. Tran, in a police interview, stated he had a “lack of memory” from the past day and a half. He now faces charges of burglary and grand theft.
