Now this is what we call an incentive! This Florida company is offering free homes to employees. By doing this, they hope to lure new workers and keep existing ones.
By now you have probably heard that companies are having difficulties in recruiting new employees and keeping existing ones. Well here is an innovative approach to try and reverse that trend. Mechanical One, air conditioning and plumbing company in Altamonte Springs, is giving away two homes to employees. We’re talking brand-new and mortgage-free houses!
The company’s CEO and president Jason James is taking an employee focus. “My passion is really trying to reinvent employee appreciation,” James said. “Our business model is really, if we take care of our people, they are going to do more for us than any marketing budget.”
James’ company has purchased two lots for the three-bedroom, two-bath homes and has set aside a $500,000 budget for the project. How doe he plan to giveaway the homes? Employees must be with the company for a full year, perform 20 hours of community service at a nonprofit organization, and take a financial literacy class, which the Florida company will pay for.
We like that this employer is taking a different approach to the job situation and is focusing on his worker’s lives.
