Things To Check On Your Car Before You Hit The Road For Thanksgiving
Next week the highways are going to be busy. Here are some things to check on your car before you hit the road for Thanksgiving.
AAA estimates 2.6 million Floridians will be driving to their Thanksgiving locations. “That’s about 200,000 more than last year,” said Mark Jenkins, a AAA spokesperson. “So going to be some very busy roads, a lot of congestion out there, and our biggest goal is just to make sure that everybody is taking a vehicle that is road trip ready.”
The Road Rangers and tow truck drivers will be busy over the Thanksgiving weekend too. AAA estimates 400,000 drivers will need roadside assistance! The most common issues that motorists run into are dead batteries, flat tires and lock outs.
Before you hit the road for Thanksgiving, AAA recommends you check five things on your car:
- Tires
- Battery
- Brakes
- Vehicle Fluids
- Wiper Blades
“A simple inspection could make the difference on whether you spend your Thanksgiving at the dinner table or on the roadside,” said Jenkins.
