This alligator got too close to this Florida paddleboarder. Did the reptile heed the warnings to keep away or was a paddleboard on its menu?
Alligators are part of our every day lives here in Florida. They’re everywhere. Most of the time they want nothing to do with us. However, gators have been known to get a bit too curious.
This paddleboarder experienced one of those alligators.
It started out as a day paddleboarding with friends at Silver Springs State Park for Vicki Reamy Baker. While on the river, a gator took interest in Vicki and her paddleboard. It swam right up to her! Vicki nudged it away with her paddle but this gator was persistent. It came back and tried to take a bite out of her board! That was enough for Vicki and she high-tailed it away from the gator.
