This Tampa Bay nurse had a one-in-a-billion chance of this happening to him…and it did! Little did he know that his life would change on this day.
When Duane Kelloway and his wife walked into the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, they were looking to blow off some steam and have fun. Duane is an operating room nurse at St. Joe’s Hospital North and has been treating COVID-19 patients. This visit to the Hard Rock would be a nice getaway.
Duane sat down in front of his favorite two-cent slot machine and proceeded to play.
”I was spinning, spinning. Then I saw the… come across ‘Wild Wild Wild Wild’ box and I was like oh my god I just hit the major which was $2,000 jackpot,” Duane said.
Hey, winning $2000 on a slot machine isn’t anything to sneeze at but this jackpot hit the Hard Rock’s billion dollar milestone. Because of that, the casino gave Duane two choices:
”I could either get 10-times my jackpot which would’ve been $24,000 or this 2022 X7 BMW worth $112,000. I about fainted,” he said.
Duane took the car! Be on the lookout for him driving it around Tampa Bay!!
