Enormous Shark Near Tampa Bay Beaches Is A Hoax
Reports of a giant shark swimming off Pinellas County beaches have been greatly exaggerated. Or, more accurately, fake.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, the videos and images are a hoax featuring a large fin sticking out of the water. Originally spotted off Indian Rocks Beach, then off Clearwater Beach, the fin was described as sticking two feet out of the water. It’s really bizarre because it looks so real… but they are telling us it’s fake. Love the beach, not a fan of sharks in the water around me…
