Pasco County Teacher Celebrates 108th Birthday
This teacher has lived a long life and has a lesson to teach us all.
Retired Pasco County teacher, Clarice Emley, taught in the 1960s and hasn’t stopped teaching lessons.
After 108 years, she says it’s not how long you live, but how you live:
“Live a long time. But don’t get old. That’s the best advice I can give,” Emley said.
Her other secret is:
“People tell me it’s because I didn’t have children,” she said while laughing.
Emley was a teacher for more than 30 years. She finished her career in Pasco County, teaching at Gulf High.
“I feel like I did in my 70s and 80s. I haven’t worn down yet,” Emley said.
I had the pleasure of meeting Clarice Emley from Hudson, who is turning 108 YEARS OLD tomorrow! When I asked her secret to long age, she gave me quite the answer 🤣 @BN9 pic.twitter.com/DbtHtaMBL4
