Tampa Bay Pet Store Offering Shelter Dogs For Adoption
A Bay Area pet store will no longer sell puppies and instead will help get shelter pets adopted.
I wish this happened a long time ago. Too many dogs without a home that are in Shelters…
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay said the store, Super Pet of Tampa, will hold a “re-opening” celebration on Saturday after signing the Puppy Friendly Pet Stores pledge from the Humane Society of the United States.
Over 3,000 pet stores across the country have signed the pledge, which means they will help find homes for shelter dogs that are up for adoption, rather than selling animals “likely coming from puppy mills.”
This is a big deal!
Super Pet of Tampa will offer rescued shelter dogs and puppies from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
The store’s celebration on Saturday begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m., with adoptable dogs and puppies available at the event.
