Guys Are Using “Engagement Ring Placeholders” To Pop The Question
So… The guy proposes now and you shop for the ring later. Together.
Lots of couples want to pick out the ring together…maybe design a ring, but that kinda ruins the “surprise” of getting an engaged. So for $50.00 you can buy an Engagement Ring Placeholder instead, and propose with that.
So some jewelry chain in Missouri has come up with this. The ring comes in a tiny box. Inside is a silver band inscribed with “This is a ring, not the ring.”
How do you feel about this? I kinda like it. I think a lot of women would like to have some input in their engagement ring…they’re going to be wearing it the rest of their life. Only thing that kinda sucks, is you can’t show off the ring right away.
