Florida Man Arrested After Attempting To Cash in Stolen Lottery Ticket

Another one of those stories that happened in Florida.

A 27-year-old man is accused of stealing 13 scratch-off lottery tickets from a Speedway convenience store in Clearwater, Florida.   After he stole the scratch-offs he returned to the store to cash in his $30 winning ticket.

Yes, he returned to the SAME store he stole them from.

The employees recognized him and of course, called the police.   He was charged with petit theft and dealing in stolen property.

He is currently in jail with a $12,000 bail awaiting trial.

Wow…sometimes you just shake your head at people.

Oh….the lottery tickets was a $30.00 winning ticket.
