Manatee season will be here before you know it.
This is so cool. Every year..manatee’s gather near the canal at Tampa Electric’s Big Bend Power Station in Apollo Beach. They are cold…and the water is warmer there in the cooler months.
The company provides a viewing area now so you can see a bunch of them. I’ve been there before and it gets busy this time of year.
The Viewing Center will open for its 34th season on Friday, Nov. 1st.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, running from Nov. 1 through April 15, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Sorry….you can’t bring your pets.
