Changes You Need To Know About Before Heading To The Trop!

Today is the first day of baseball season and lots of people heading to the Trop to see the Rays and the Astros today…
By the way…. the game is SOLD OUT today!!!
Before you go…they’ve made a few changes from last year that you need to know about.
- New Backpack Policy: Backpacks are now restricted at Tropicana Field except those carried for medical reasons, and backpack diaper bags that accompany infants and children. Bag larger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″ are restricted under MLB rules.
- Parking: Cash is not accepted at Tropicana Field parking lots. Game-day parking can be purchased with credit card, e-Cash via Rays Card or prepaid parking pass only.
Jessica Phillips will perform the national anthem today. She plays the female lead (Heidi Hansen) in the Broadway tour of “Dear Evan Hansen,” which opens at the Straz Center April 9. St. Pete City Council Chairman Charlie Gerdes will deliver the ceremonial first pitch.
Today is the 22nd opening day for the Rays and the 10th consecutive year that the team has opened the season at their home field.
