Diver Survives After Being Swallowed By Large Whale
A real life Jonah And The Whale Story!
This is just crazy! A man diving off the coast of South Africa was swallowed by a large whale — and lived to tell about it.
His name is Rainer Schimpf and he’s 51-year-old and he’s super lucky to be alive. He was diving with a camera crew when the huge, 20-ton Bryde’s whale breached the surface with its mouth open and swallowed him.
The camera crew caught the video and you can see him INSIDE the whales mouth!
He said, “It got dark and I felt some pressure on my hip. Once I felt the pressure I instantly knew a whale had gripped me.” He says his wet suit protected him from the whale’s teeth. Luckily for him, the whale opened its mouth and freed him.
