Yuck! People Are Turning Umbilical Stumps Into Jewelry!
C’mon… really? Is this necessary?
I am a sentimental person and I like to keep special things… but this just makes me wanna barf.
A new trend has parents turning their baby’s umbilical cord stumps into wearable jewelry. Taking an umbilical cord stump and throwing it in a scrapbook or shadowbox might be an interesting way to safe keep a piece of your kid’s childhood. But wearing it? No Way!
Some parents have said the little black stump represents the connection that mom and daughter had for 9 months. It’s a miracle and there is nothing wrong with wanting to preserve that memory.
Nope… that’s nice but I’m still not down with this.
