Off-Leash Dog Park And Bar Open In Pinellas
A new off-leash dog park and bar is open in Pinellas county. It’s called Barks and Brews. You can find them in Largo at 14219 Walsingham Road. This is the first “off-leash” dog park and tap house serving the Largo area. The new place offers a 7,000-square-foot playground where dogs can run free while their owners relax with craft beers and fine wines.
Pinellas County has so many dog-friendly places. Both St. Petersburg and Tampa have been named the most dog-friendly cities in the past. There is now one more place you can bring your pups.
According to ILoveTheBurg, it was founded by a couple of friends. Their mission is to create a safe and fun environment where dogs can play off-leash, and owners can enjoy great drinks. They say It’s more than a dog park—it’s a place to foster human and canine connections. I love that there is new place to go that is located in this area. Seems like there are many places to choose from in downtown St. Pete, but not in the Largo area, so this is nice.
Barks and Brews is open from 10am to 8pm on Sundays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays (staying open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. You can follow them on their Facebook page, Instagram or check them out online HERE. They have a big grand opening weekend set for November 2-3.
Barks and Brews is not far from Walsingham Park, which is another great place to take your dog. They have a dog park inside the park as well as miles of walking/biking trails. Just make sure and bring plenty of water for your pooch.
Can’t wait to check out the new Barks and Brews in Pinellas. I love taking my dog Louie out with me. I’m a sucker for picking places that are dog-friendly, because I don’t want to leave him alone at home all the time. And if you’re a dog lover yourself, you’re just like me.
