What Is Tortuga Music Festival?

Tortuga is so much fun. It's a lot. Three days of being out in the sun, walking in the sand and listening to your favorite bands. I've been to the festival for 5 years. I will tell you that you will need a full day to recover. The Monday after is an obvious, but you might want to call out Tuesday as well. It's a lot of walking and a ton of partying. You would think that being on the beach drinking all day was enough, but no, after the headliner ends, everyone goes out and packs the bars. They will stay packed until 3am and then you will do it all over again the next day. There are usually between 90-100,000 people attending the event.

It's more than just a big ole party, it’s also about coming together as a community to support ocean conservation. A portion of every ticket sold will go to Rock the Ocean– a foundation that focuses on 5 core areas: Sharks, Sea Turtles, Marine Mammals, Coral Reefs, and Marine Habitats. Over the years, Tortuga fans have helped Rock the Ocean raise over $4 million for ocean conservation.
