2 Florida Concerts Postponed Due To Hurricanes
2 Florida concerts postponed due to hurricanes Helene and Milton. As the state of Florida is trying to clean up and get back to normal, two scheduled shows that were supposed to happen this weekend have been put on hold.
Country Thunder
Country Thunder announced Friday that they would be canceling the show. Canceling the show means, it won’t happen and you will get a refund for your tickets. They posted their official press release online which said: “We have worked closely alongside Osceola County Emergency Management and Osceola Heritage Park to assess the venue. It has been determined that we are unable to safely hold this year’s Country Thunder and must inform everyone that this year’s event has been regrettably canceled due to factors outside of our control”.
Pig Jig
Pig Jig has also been postponed. The Jig will go on, and a newly rescheduled date will be announced soon, It takes a lot of work to reschedule a huge festival like this, so it may take some time. So many are still without power, water and supplies, to put on a concert this weekend isn’t what the city needs right now.
The city is still cleaning up from both Hurricanes and it just wouldn’t be right to host concert events. Some of the areas in Osceola county are not fit and safe to host a three day weekend event. There are gas shortages right now and many are without power and water. This is the right thing to do when a situation like this happens.
As for Country Thunder refunds, they will notify you in about 30 days on how to get a refund. Pig Jig will also make an announcement soon on their plans for the rescheduled date.
Keep listening to find out more information on both shows.
