Video Shows Bear Waking Up Florida Woman By Triggering Doorbell Alert
A surprise visitor recently gave a Florida woman a nasty awakening in the middle of the night. A black bear was filmed in Lake County looking around Elizabeth Martin’s house, according to FOX 35. According to the homeowner, mama bear activated her Ring camera’s doorbell alarm at 1:30 a.m. while she was sleeping. This isn’t the first Florida bear sighting, as of late.
“It happened several weeks ago but we have them on camera almost every night or several times a week,” Martin said.
The curious animal is shown in the video looking about while having her paws on the entrance door and facing the camera in the middle. The video also shows a bear cub standing close to a car.
Martin described the incident as “frightening” and afterwards added she was “glad [the bear] can’t open doors.”
A Florida bear had already made several visits to the woman’s property. She revealed that a mother bear had eaten the contents of her large, heavy deep freezer.
“When we first moved in the mother bear dragged our deep freezer off of our porch and emptied it out in the yard like it’s big huge, heavy, I couldn’t even stand it up by myself, but [she] dragged it out and emptied all the contents out all over the yard,” Martin stated, adding that she has since secured her deep freezer in place.
We’re originally from Louisiana, and everyone in our family back home says, “I knew y’all had gators like we did, but I didn’t know you had bears,” she continued. Bears? I can’t believe it.
