Man Calls Cops On First Date After She Refuses to Split the Bill
Police in Russia are currently searching for a young woman who allegedly stormed out of a restaurant after her date asked her to split the tab evenly and left him to pay. The man called cops on first date.
Here’s what went down:
First date bill-handling has long been a contentious issue because some people think males should always foot the bill, while others are adamant that going Dutch is the only option. Both sides have their points of view, and although there are countless discussions on the matter in internet forums, there was never really a need to involve the police. That is, until a 28-year-old Moscow man recently filed a complaint against a woman he went on a date with after she refused to share the tab, leaving him to pay the full 16,000 rubles ($165) amount.
The unidentified male informed police that he had recently met a woman online, and that after getting to know one another on social media, they decided to go on a date. They chose a cafe on Mira Avenue in Moscow, and everything seemed to be going well until the waiter came with the check. The woman flatly denied his offer to divide the bill equally, arguing that since he had ordered the majority of the food and beverages, he should be held responsible.
The woman reportedly rose up and left the cafe after arguing over it for a while, leaving the unfortunate man to tackle it on his own. He didn’t, however, let her off the hook that easy. The man immediately rushed to a police station and lodged a complaint against his date rather than taking it in stride.
Although the ending of this love story is yet unclear, it seems unlikely that the gentleman will make any money from his date after he called cops on first date
