A list of the most playful dog breeds has been released. Some of the dogs on the list may not be a surprise to you. Also, you may have one of these dog breeds and you will probably nod your head and say yup that’s correct. The #1 overall most playful dog breed is the Labrador Retriever. Then it is the English Springer Spaniel, and then the Boxer rounded out the top 3. Additionally, after that it is the Australian Shepherd, the Golden Retriever, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Finally, coming in at #7 is the Jack Russell Terrier.

I know that there are many other dog breeds that aren’t on this list that are super playful and you may disagree with this list. Your baby may be the most playful dog ever and not even be on the list but that’s what makes dogs so special.

The American Kennel Club in 2023 released the most popular dog breeds of 2022. We don’t have information yet from 2023 as of yet. They said that the top dog breed is the French Bulldog which took over the #1 spot after 31 years of the Labrador Retriever being the #1 dog. The Labrador Retriever ends up being #2 on the list, followed by the Golden Retriever, the German Shepherd dog, and the Poodle coming in at #5.
