McDonalds is giving out free French fries. Did you know that this Thursday is National French Fry Day? McDonalds is known for some of the best French fries and they are ready to celebrate. Lucky for you, this means you get free fries. Who doesn’t like free food?
The fast food giant has announced they’ll be giving away free fries of any size, for one day only. No purchase is necessary to score the free fries, but you do have to place your order for them using the McDonald’s app. They’re available at participating locations across the country and you only get one per customer.
Not sure what they are putting in their fries, but they have been voted one of the best tasting French fries among fast food restaurants. Consumer analytics platform CivicScience shared findings from a poll that asked over 7,000 consumers about their preferred fast-food fries. Half of the participants chose McDonald’s fries as their favorite, making them the “runaway winner” among adults who eat fast food.
The five other major fast-food chains considered in the poll—Wendy’s, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, KFC, and Arby’s, didn’t even come close to McDonald’s. Wendy’s fries were the favorite among the second-highest share of poll.
In other news, McDonalds announced they’re going to be phasing out three McCafe Bakery items. If you want the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin or Cinnamon Roll, you’ll have to act fast as they’re getting rid of them later this month.

Firstly, a website called Menu Price analyzed Google data on 30 popular candy bars to see which ones were the most popular in each state and in the country.
Say, you are at the vending machine and you are trying to make a decision of which candy bar you want. If you are in the state of Florida, then you are most likely going to choose a Snickers. Snickers is the #1 chocolate bar in Florida. Snickers is the #1 chocolate bar in five states, but it isn’t #1.
Milky Way is #1 in the nation. It is the most popular in eight states. Alabama, Delaware, California, Georgia, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Virginia love Milky Way.
The reason why the list was created is to celebrate World Chocolate Day, which is July 7th every year. The day was established in 2009 and it commemorates chocolate’s arrival in Europe in 1550.
