Major Dog Food Recall
There is a major dog food recall and pet owners need to be aware of this. If you’re a dog owner that feeds your dog Pedigree dog food, you need to see this.
Mars Petcare US issued a voluntary recall last week for over 300 bags of its Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition grilled steak and vegetable flavored dry dog food. The reason they gave was because their could be metal pieces in the food. This could be very dangerous to your dog if he swallows any metal pieces.
On their website, they said this is only a “limited” voluntary recall. This is also only for the 44-pound bags. The bags do have a best by date of ,March 4, 2025. They also contain the Lot Code 410B2TXT02.
The dog food recall consists of bags that were sold by Walmart in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. No stores in Florida listed at this time. However, Walmart also listed the stores the dog food was sold at on their website. Pedigree is a popular brand so if you know anyone that is feeding their dog this type of dog food, you need to share this information with them.
What To Do If You Fed Your Dog This Food
Pedigree warned their customers that if they believe their pet has eaten the potentially impacted dog food, they should “monitor for unusual behavior and contact a veterinarian in the event of any concerns.”
So far, there has been no reports of injury to pets or illnesses regarding the possibly impacted dog food.
