This story is great. The Lakeland Police arrest a wanted man who was hiding in the ceiling. The Polk County Sheriff’s office says a man’s cell phone went off and that is how they found him hiding in the ceiling.
According to the officials, there was a disturbance in the area that was reported. When police arrived on the scene, the man was already gone. They were looking for 38 year old Joshua Garrett. Joshua is a wanted man for violation of probation for burglary, false info to pawnbroker and trafficking in stolen property.
First place they decided to check was his place of business. Employees that were there working said they had seen him earlier, but they hadn’t seen him leave. As police starting checking around the place of business, they were able to find him after they heard a cell phone starting to ring, from the ceiling.

Lakeland police arrest wanted man hiding in ceiling. Deputies noticed that some of the ceiling tiles were moved and they could hear his phone ringing. Deputies also say they saw his hand sticking out of the ceiling tiles. They knew right away their suspect was hiding in the ceiling.
Garrett was booked in the Polk County jail on his warrant and additionally charged with resisting and felony criminal mischief. He caused about $1,000 worth of damage to his employer’s ceiling.
