This Beer Brand Sales Are Still Suffering
It’s been a year since Bud Light partnered up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to promote the beer and the brand still hasn’t recovered in the U.S. since that controversial decision.
According to Fox 13, Anheuser-Busch released their first-quarter earning last week and Anheuser-Busch reported a 2.6% increase in revenue globally, but a 9.1% decrease in America. The company said because of the drop in Bud Light sale, retailers in the U.S. saw a decrease 13.7%.

The crash in sales started back in April 2023 when the company created a special beer can and sent it to Mulvaney to mark “365 days of girlhood.” Then Alissa Heinerscheid who was Bud Light’s marketing vice president at the time said the brand was “out-of-touch” and to “fratty.” After the boycott was on! Celebrities, influencers and even politician showed their displeasure with the beer company.
How Is Bud Light Trying To Fix Their Brand
Before April 2023 Bud Light was the king of beers. It was the bestselling beer in the U.S. before being passed by the company that makes Modela Especial. Bud Light is trying to get back to the good old days. During the Super Bowl they added humor and patriotism back into their commercial. They also just signed a deal with the UFC and the Olympics. Will they ever get back on top? Only time will tell.
Not only did Bud Light sign new deals with the UFC and the Olympics, but they’re trying to get back in the good graces of country fans. They’re giving fans a chance to win tickets to Zach Bryan’s “The Quittin’ Time Tour”. Which by the way, is one of the most expensive concerts to get into this year. Not only does Bud Light want to send you to the show, but they are also going to give you backstage passes and the opportunity to meet Zach Bryan.
They also mention that a portion of every Bud Light sold during Zach Bryan’s tour will go back to the folds of honor.
