Thief Steals Credit Card And Orders UberEats At Disney World
You would think there would be more of a honor system when visiting the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Unfortunately this is 2024, so there’s not. Next time you’re at Disney World don’t just leave your belongs stuffed in your stroller unattended. Make sure your lock them up in a locker.
Here’s what happened according to WDW News Today, A Florida resident parked her stroller in the New Fantasyland stroller parking and went to go watch the fireworks. That’s when a thief stole her stroller with all of the woman’s stuff and according to the sheriff’s report, the thief tossed the victim’s driver’s license in the toilet and tried ordering UberEats using the stolen credit card.

After the fireworks, the woman and her family realized the stroller was gone and reported the theft to Disney Security. Security found the abandoned stroller near Cinderella Castle with the victims backpack still missing. According to the sheriff’s report, a Disney cast member eventually found the missing backpack in one of the male bathrooms and “All of the contents of the backpack were scattered all over the floor in the male’s bathroom.”
The victim said that four bank cards, her social security card, $25 in cash and a Disney gift card with $35 left on the balance were stolen and then the thief tried sending $43 on Uber Eats about an hour after the theft. The thief even tried to use the cards at a vending machine within Magic Kingdom. The investigating deputy is working with the machine vendors to track down the specific machine used in the park to possibly catch the person in the act.
As of this week, no one has been arrested, according to the sheriff’s office. So let this be a reminder to you to always keep track of your belongings in busy places like the beach or even the happiest place on Earth.

Epcot
If you’re starting your day at Epcot, here are some places to stay cool:- When you enter EPCOT, there are few places to enjoy, learn, and stay cool. The Living Seas pavilion features a large aquarium where you can visit dolphins, sharks, rays, various species of fish and other sea life up close.
- Heading over to The Land pavilion, there are two great rides, Living With The Land and Soarin’, each of which is indoors. There’s also a large cafeteria where you can take a break and get a snack or drink.
- There’s also the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival in 3D. Sit back and relax in theatre while you enjoy these entertaining cartoons.
- Back in the World Showcase, there is a China pavilion featuring shopping, dining, and a show. The lobby outside the show has seating and a large waiting area where you can relax for as long as you’d like to stay out of the heat.
- The American pavilion features a show, The American Adventure. It tells the story of our nation’s history featuring animatronic figures, a 72-foot screen, and patriotic songs. The show is nearly half-an-hour long.
- Interested in something FREE at EPCOT? There’s a gift shop called Club Cool, and there is a wall of Coca-Cola products from around the world, not offered in the U.S.A., that you can taste for free.
- Looking for a cool mists? The Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, allows you to explore the wonders of water.

Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is a little different. There is a lot of shade. You can take advantage of that. There are some notable places to escape the sun.- There’s a location inside the park that some people still don’t know about. Take a train to a section of the park called Rafiki’s Planet Watch and you’ll find the Conservation Station. It’s a petting area, and there’s also a veterinary care center you can explore.
- Another place to get out of the heat is in Pandora-The World Of Avatar. There’s a quick service restaurant called Satu’li Canteen. There’s plenty of seating under cover, and indoor seating if you’d prefer.
