J.R.’s First Time Dad Report Card. Baby Parker and J.R.
Photo credit: KristinToday was J.R.'s first time dad report card day. J.R. is celebrating Father's Day Sunday for the first time. He and his fiancée Kristin welcomed baby Parker on January 27, 2024, so she is almost 5 months old. Since this is the first time J.R. is experiencing fatherhood, we thought it would be a great time to get Kristin on the phone and "grade" J.R. on how well he has been doing these past 5 months.
We gave Kristin 5 questions and asked her to grade him on each. Grades would be A, B, C, D and F, being the worst.
Questions J.R. Was Graded On
When it comes to changing diapers, what grade would you give J.R. - Kristin gave a him a D. She explained that J.R. has only changed one diaper. He learned at the hospital and changed it there, but hasn't done another one since then.
Getting up in the middle of the night - Kristin gave him an F. Kristin gave J.R. a lot of compliments, but said that because of his job and that he has to get up around 3am to come and do the morning show, he doesn't get up in the night. He hasn't done it yet. J.R. also said the baby sleep on mom, so he doesn't want to get up and wake her, so he let's her do it.
Helping with laundry, meals and shopping. - He did better on this one and got a C+. Kristin said that he helps out when he can and does an ok job on this.
How good is he at playing with her by himself. This is the highest grade that J.R. received today. She gave him an A. She said that he didn't really know what to do in the beginning, so she had to teach him to bounce and move with her, but he's doing much better now.
How is J.R. at staying home with her alone so that Kristin can go out with her friends and have some adult time. - J.R. failed this too. She gave him an F. Kristin said that he hasn't stayed home alone with Parker yet. She hasn't gone out with her friends since having Parker. She did say that when J.R.'s mom Carol was visiting, she left him alone with her for a few hours.
Kristin followed up the conversation by saying that J.R. is a good dad and there is lots of potential there. She also said he has great qualities and and he makes them laugh a lot.
J.R. received 1 A, 1 C, 1 D and 2 F's. We were very generous and gave him an overall grade of a C. Congrats J.R....you're doing great! Happy First Father's Day!

Top Five Country Music Star Dads
Country music stars like to have it all: big careers, adoring fans all over the world, and a family they can call their own. Many country music superstars are also proud dads who like to incorporate their family life into their country music lives.
Many country star dads take their kids on the road to tour during the summer, and some country music dads even put their children in music videos and bring them on stage now and then at concerts.
As we celebrate dads this weekend, we would also like to celebrate some of country music's top dads this Father's Day.

Luke is one of country music's newest dads, as his son Tex was born last year on Father's Day. Combs and his wife Nicole are currently expecting their second son in September. The couple admits they are having trouble finding the right name for their unborn baby. Nicole says she loves one-syllable names but has yet to land on one that is perfect.
Tim McGraw - 3 grown daughters Gracie, Audrey, and Maggie

Tim and Faith Hill's three daughters are all grown up, and two of them are living in New York City, where they are both pursuing careers in acting and music, just like mom and dad. McGraw brags about his daughters' achievements and celebrates them often on his social media.

Tyler spends a lot of time with his cute and young kids in tow. When we asked him just this week about Father's Day this year, he told us he plans to bring all three kids out on the road this weekend to celebrate the day.

Luke often takes his sons and his nephew Till with him on fishing trips. After his nephew Til's parents both passed away, Bryan and his wife Caroline took him in, as well as his two older sisters, expanding their family and including them in everything they do.

Thomas' oldest daughter Willa Gray is now school age, but her three little sisters are all under the age of six. Rhett and his wife Lauren share daily adventures with the girls, most recently taking the whole family to see Disney's "The Little Mermaid" this summer before Dad got back on the road to continue his tour.
