Monster Jam Coming To New Location In Tampa

Monster Jam coming to new location in Tampa this year.  Not only that, it is happening this summer.  We normally see Monster Jam coming through the bay area in January and February at Raymond James Stadium.  That is not the case this year.

Monster Jam is coming to Amalie Arena in August this year.  I think this is the first time that Monster Jam will be held at a place other then Raymond James Stadium.

The monster trucks will be at Amalie Arena on Saturday, August 19.   Even more exciting news, the new 2023 debut truck ThunderROARus will be unleashed for the first time

The Pit Party will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon.  Fans can see the trucks up close, meet the drivers and crews, get autographs, take pictures, and enjoy family-friendly activities.  Pit passes are $20 each.

The event times are 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will feature monster trucks that will compete in freestyle, skill, and racing competitions at top speeds.  Eight athletes will battle for the event championship.

Riverview ranks #3 on a list of the safest cities in Florida. This report comes from Uphomes.com, which ranked the Top 15 safest cities in Florida. The list was updated in November of 2023. Riverview was founded in 1885 on the north shore of the Alafia river. Before it was known as Riverview it was called Peru. Peru was located on the south side of the river. Additionally, the name Peru existed for around 100 years and was one of the oldest settlements in central Florida. In the 1940's Riverview took over Peru, so then the Peru name ceased to exist. Finally, the Alafia river is translated into river of fire due to the phosphorus on the early river bottom glowing at night.

A town of almost 110,000, Riverview is the #3 safest city in Florida. The violent crime rate per 100,000 is 1,400.

Located just north of Ft. Myers, North Port comes in at #4.

Another city right her in the Tampa Bay area. Brandon is the #5 safest city in Florida. Brandon has around 115,000 people. Brandon is the birthplace of Beef 'O' Brady's.

Another Tampa Bay area city comes in at #6. Spring Hill has almost 115,000 that live in the city.

The fourth Tampa Bay area city in the Top 10. Only around 65,000 call Wesley Chapel home.

Tampa comes in at #8 for safest cities in Florida. This is just the city of Tampa, which has a population of around 385,000 people.

This area in the Tampa area has around 85,000 people. It also is the #9 safest city in Florida.

Situated right next to Ft. Myers, Cape Coral comes in at #10.
