Brantley Gilbert Returns To Tampa With Nickelback.  This is not the first time that Brantley Gilbert is sharing the stage with a rock band.

Last November, he was here with Five Finger Death Punch.  This time, he will be rocking out with Nickelback.

Show is coming to the Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheater on July 29th. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 27 at 10 am. You can get tickets here.

The most recent release,  “So Help Me God” features a new song with Blake Shelton called “Heaven By Then” featuring Vince Gill.

His real full name is Brantley Keith Gilbert and is considered a “country rock” singer and songwriter from Jefferson, Georgia.  He started out with Colt Ford’s label, Average Joes Entertainment, where he released Modern Day Prodigal Son and Halfway to Heaven.  He is currently signed to the Valory division of Big Machine Records where he has released five studio albums—a deluxe edition of Halfway to Heaven, Just as I Am, The Devil Don’t Sleep, Fire & Brimstone, So Help Me God.   Gilbert has 14 country chart entries, four of which have gone to number one.  He also co-wrote (with Colt Ford)  Jason Aldean‘s singles “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem.”

Nickelback

Nickelback Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995.   It is consists of guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger and drummer Daniel Adair

The name “Nickelback” originated from the nickel in change that band member Mike Kroeger gave customers at his job at Starbucks; he would frequently say, “Here’s your nickel back.

The band continues to make money and tour.  Nickelback takes a lot of pokes and are the topic of meme’s after releasing their song “Photograph”.

    Who doesn’t love this song? It was a big song for Billy Ray in 1992. The album that song came from is called Some Gave All. That album went 9X multi-platinum in the United States and is the longest time spent by a debut artist at number one on the Billboard 200.

    She was just 13-years-old when this song was released. The song didn’t go #1 just it definitely put LeAnn on the map.

  • Toby Keith - "Should've Been A Cowboy"

    Yes, it was his very song song that he released to radio. It also was his very first #1 song. Toby has celebrated 20 of his songs going to #1.

  • Trisha Yearwood - "She's In Love With the Boy"

    Another song that was released in 1991 that kick started a country music career. This song went #1 and so did 4 other Trisha songs.

  • Zac Brown Band - "Chicken Fried"

    Released in 2008 it became the band’s first #1 song. 14 of their songs have gone to the top of the country charts.

  • Brad Paisley - "Who Needs Pictures"

    This is a song that you may not remember. It was the name of Brad’ first album and the song only reached #12w on ther country music charts. Brad has gone on the celebrate 21 #1 songs since his debut single.

Launa is part of Tampa Bay's Hometown Morning Krewe on 99.5 WQYK. She has been with the station for 7 years and joined J.R. and Kevin on the morning show 4 years ago. Since then, they have been nominated for not only a CMA but also an ACM. Launa has been in radio for the past 28 years and in the Tampa Bay market for 22 of those years. While working in radio, Launa has also served as an entertainment reporter on a local TV show and has hosted many charity events in the community. Using her popularity from QYK, Launa loves to help raise money for shelter animals and has been a volunteer at local shelters for years.
