Reported by clickorlando.com – On Sunday afternoon, a driver is reported to have gone airborne into a canal while traveling at approximately 80 miles per hour. Two vehicles were reportedly traveling west on Northwest 17th Terrace toward Northwest 21st Avenue when they were observed by the police. According to the authorities, both vehicles were traveling at about 80 miles per hour.
You can see a vehicle come dangerously close to hitting a teenager in the footage. In an interview with Fox 4, he stated that he immediately ran inside his home and informed his grandfather, Dennis Cote, about what had occurred.
“It went down fast. The guy that was out there with the scissors [who went to rescue the driver in the canal], he went down and they barely got out,” Cote said.
A Dodge Challenger was the vehicle that ran off the road first. According to the investigators, the motorist struck a ditch, continued driving through an empty field, struck a small tree, and finally struck a dirt embankment. In the Florida car crash, the car was submerged in water, but the driver was able to get out of it.
According to the report from the police, the driver was “found to be at fault for recklessly operating a motor vehicle.”
