We had a week full of raining in the Tampa Bay Area in the midst of hurricane season.

When rain pours down flooding follows closely behind and the City of Tampa is doing something for their residents that is sure to help with the rising issue.

Tampa residents can receive FREE sandbags* all you have to do is show identification to verify you live within city limits. Driver’s licenses, utility bills or electric bills are acceptable, city officials say.

Pick-up your sandbags HERE:

Himes Avenue Complex located at 4501 South Himes Avenue

Open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (until further notice)

*(There is a 10-bag limit)

I need to get myself over there and pick up some sandbags, you never know when you might need it.
