According to WFLA News Channel 8, U.S. News used job market, affordability, quality of life and the “desirability” of the city to create their rankings.
Sarasota was credited for its arts-and-culture scene, as well for its beaches. No doubt about it. Sarasota is one of those places that makes Florida worth visiting or even moving here. Makes the rest of us loom bad. Nice going Sarasota!
Melbourne on Florida’s Space Coast was cited for its access to the 155-mile-long Indian River Lagoon and regular viewings of space launches from nearby launch pads. I would even go to the extent of crediting them on the distance top to Port Canaveral. The temptation to book a last minute cruise must be very high living
