Titanic II Will Set Sail in 2022
A replica of the original Titanic is set to make its first voyage in 2022. It will also retrace the exact route it took.
There will be 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members, USA Today reported, almost the exact same number of each on board the boat that sunk in 1912. The ship will include an appropriate number of life boats, life-jackets and plenty of modern safety features.
After it makes its original trek across the Atlantic it will offer worldwide cruises. Blue Star Line’s chairman Clive Palmer said, “The ship will follow the original journey, carrying passengers from Southampton to New York, but she will also circumnavigate the globe, inspiring and enchanting people while attracting unrivaled attention, intrigue and mystery in every port she visits.”
