Launa’s Trip to Disney’s H2O Glow Party
Launa’s trip to Disney’s H2O Glow Party. I got invited to spend the weekend at Disney last weekend. We got to spend a couple days hanging out at Disney World and also got to experience the first night of the H2O Glow party at Typhoon Lagoon.
What a great event to take the kids to or even have a girls night. So many water rides to choose from at Typhoon Lagoon. First, the coolest thing about the after hours event is that you don’t have to wait in the lines that long to ride all the water rides. The H2O Glow party is only open from 8pm until 11pm – so 3 hours of fun. They close the park at 5 and do not open it back up until 8pm. Because your riding the water rides at nighttime, there are less people there, so shorter lines.
And yes, the water is warm, it’s perfect because the air it still hot. The party takes place select nights going on now until September 2nd.
Our favorite water ride was the Crush ‘n’ gusher. This ride was awesome. Storm Slides, Gangplank Falls and Kowabunga were super cool too and the kids loved the wave/surf pool.
The food they have is amazing. I got to talk with the head Chef Brad and sample a ton of the different dishes. Seafood, Chicken and watermelon poke bowls, fun multi-colored churros, mini donuts and funnel cakes. Plus the fancy, fun drinks like the pineapple mai tai…which is made inside of a huge pineapple. The best thing is that there are bars located through out the park for mom and dad to grab a beer or cocktail. There is something for everyone.
This is a fun day for adults. If you are deciding what to do on a girls day – think about Typhoon Lagoon where they have sandy beaches, water rides and everything you need right there. Crazy how you forget your in the middle of Orlando when you are there.
The kids were so excited plus they got free popcorn and Mickey Ice Cream during the 3-hour event.
