Man Sues Wife’s Lover And Wins Big Money
A man in North Carolina sued the man who took his wife from him and won! Kevin Howard received $750,000, yes $750,000 in a lawsuit against the other man. There is a law in North Carolina called “alienation of affection” and the plaintiff sued under the law. The other man was found guilty of intentionally courting his wife in his own home.
Howard said, “I filed this case because I believe it’s very important that people understand that sanctity of marriage is important especially in this day and age when people question everyone’s morals, people questions everyone’s liability of a person and the state backed me up on it.”
If the other man can’t pay it it will appear on his credit report as debt owed.
Yes, this is an obscure law that is only in six states, but Howard’s lawyer argues about one alienation of affection law per year.
