Florida’s best city for food and drinks isn’t a surprise. You may not agree with it, but if you want the best food and drinks this city may be the place to go. Miami just made the list of Best Cities for Food and Drinks in the United States.
The list comes from the website called Food and Wine. Miami comes in number seven overall in the United States. The way they came up with the list is they asked more than 180 food and travel journalists to nominate their favorites. Now these travel journalists are from all around the world, and then an expert panel of judges ranks, each category winner.
Here is what they say about Florida’s best city for food and drinks. It says, “Miami has always been a deeply international city, and the range of its food scene has only grown in recent years. At Maty’s in Midtown, 2023 F&W Best New Chef Valerie Chang turns out bold Peruvian plates (huancaina-smothered choclo, oxtail saltado), while MiMo’s Phuc Yea mashes up Vietnamese and Colombian flavors (think Wagyu Churrasco with lemongrass ponzu). As for who makes the best Cuban sandwich? That’s a never-ending debate, and many locals endorse Sanguich De Miami.”

Miami was the only Florida city to make the list. I can make the argument for Tampa and Orlando to be on this list as well. Sure Miami has some great restaurants that serve great food and drinks. But you don’t need to travel to Miami to get great food and drinks. Right here in Tampa there are so many great places where you can dine and have a great glass of wine that goes with it.

There’s one spot that I wanted to put on the list for their creativity and because I’m a major sushi lover. Technically, they serve burritos. But I couldn’t quite fit Zukku on the list. They are located at 1910 N Ola Avenue in Tampa Heights.
