Florida Small Town
Getty Images RFA Florida small town has been named one of the happiest small towns in the United States of America. This report comes from Travel and Leisure. Their list is very small. They only listed the top 10 happy small towns in America. So they came up with the top 10 as they looked at the community population, poverty rate, median, household, income, median property value, and education and crime statistics.
The Florida small town that is in the top 10 is Apalachicola, Florida. Apalachicola comes in eighth overall.
The Florida Small Town Is A 'Coastal Gem'
Here is what the study said about Apalachicola, “On the shore of Apalachicola Bay in the Gulf of Mexico lies the picturesque town of Apalachicola, a coastal gem in Florida's Panhandle that still gleams with a taste of Old Florida. Known for its mouthwatering seafood fare, the town celebrates the annual Florida Seafood Festival, a two-day event on the first weekend of November."
The report added, "Many of its top attractions are walkable with pristine beaches to enjoy, thanks to the Florida Panhandle’s long stretch of white sand beaches. But above all that, Apalachicola is generally a happy, peaceful small town and a close-knit community with a lower cost of living and poverty rate."

Florida keeps getting love in a lot of these studies that are done. This is great for tourism in Florida so it brings money into the areas they are talking about. It also makes me want to take a trip up to Apalachicola to see why it is one of the best small towns in all of the United States.
